On Thursday, October 11, we celebrated the unveiling of the much-anticipated Steinway Suite at The Harrison, our newest top-floor corner penthouse designed by San Francisco-based award-winning designer, Michael Friedes. The evening was brimming with excitement, offering those in attendance an exclusive first look at the Steinway Suite’s interiors bedecked in modern-day sophistication and 40s-era glam.

Steinway Event

Located on The Harrison’s 49th floor, The Steinway Suite features a Steinway & Sons Spirio Model M high resolution player piano, valued at $100,000, and is being offered fully furnished for $3.7 million. And while the piano is certainly the penthouse’s centerpiece, each living space is replete with unique furnishings and art sourced from around the world. From statuesque lamps to acrylic shelving displays and tables composed of rich golds and polished wood, each furnishing has been thoughtfully integrated into the space to capitalize on the glamour of urban penthouse living.

Steinway Event

During the two-hour event, pianist Christopher Johnson performed while guests got a glimpse of the Steinway Suite’s fully appointed rooms, such as the master retreat that blends various eras and features a swanky chaise from which to admire the Bay views. The guest bedroom, too, was designed to enjoy the dramatic views from the corner windows and inspired by a 1960s lucite and turquoise chair Friedes found in Palm Springs, giving rise to a vibe that’s both refined and whimsical.
